A fun shooting demo. For now it seems the aiming with the remote needs to be calibrated so that one can really aim, right now the aiming is done towards the detector situated at the E3 Wii booth TVs underneath the TV. This game is a fun versus game in making the most points shooting at baloons, targets, ufos and ducks.

I haven’t seen much of the recent Sonic titles for XboX, PLaystation and GameCube, but having tried this one for the Wii, it looks to be quite fun, with impressive speeds, fun action packed gameplay

IBM is doing a Cell processor demo, creating a high definition 3D model on the fly. I am talking with the chief architect of the IBM Cell project about the power of the Cell processor compared to the fastest Intel and AMD processors available. For certain tasks as encoding video, decoding video and generating 3D graphics, IBM’s 9-core Cell processor is about 10 times faster! That is simply amazing, and supposedly the Cell processor will run Linux and be available from around October this year.

This franchise is a perfect match for the Wii system. Using the controller to balance the monkey in the ball is a fantastic experience. Some of the mini games showcased are also very interesting. Each using different ways of using the controller.

This is another video demonstrating one of the the awesome games that demonstrate how the Wii has the potential to reach a whole new level of consumers. The Orchestra surely is one of the most interesting Wii demonstrations. I am looking forward to see which kinds of Music making software game that Nintendo can deliver for its amazing new console. It would be amazing if it will be possible to create music using this interesting interface.

Right since the first minute after the opening of E3 2006, there has been hours of queuing to enter the Wii area of the Nintendo booth. Right when I first got in to E3 at 9:05AM on the 10th of May, I ran towards the Nintendo booth and still I had to stand in line for 45 minutes before I got in for the first time. Later during E3, the line had become 4 to 5 hours long, people queuing nearly the whole day to enter the Wii area to have to queue again up to a couple of hours to get access to try such games as Metroid Prime 3 Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy. I spent most of my E3 inside the Wii area, it took me more than 12 hours spread over the 3 days of the E3, for me to get to try a bit of nearly all of the 27 playable games that were on display there.
