A very interesting interview with Frank J. Moizio Worldwide Strategic Marketing Manager for Texas Instruments, about the DLP technology, the new 1080p projectors announced at the IFA, the cheaper 720p projectors, the technology that makes 1080p more expensive for now. And also the rear-projection DLP HDTVs in a new smaller form factor, and also the more vivid LED backlighting technology with DLP.

A very interesting interview with a Hitachi engineer about all of their different types of hard disk drives. From the ones that go into mobile phones, to portable multimedia solutions to desktop computers and servers. And some talk about comparison between the Hard Disk Drive and the Nand Flash memory technologies.

Archos has a nice booth. Showing the 504 which is a 160GB PMP, the 604 with a 4.3″ screen, probably the best quality screen on any portable multimedia devices. The 404 which is a very small and thin PMP but still has a large 3.5″ screen. When we were about to film an interview with a representative demonstrating their 604 Wifi and 404 Camcorder, they had to go and receive an award for second most favourite Mp3 player in Germany after the ipod. So film I will film the interview and provide you with information about the 604 Wifi and more exclusive information about its Browser and IP centric possibillities will be explained on a next video to be made available here.

Iubi have an interesting Bluetooth PMP so you donät have to connect your headphones with the device. The usb headphones consume power and need to be recharged after about 4 hours, but the concept of using Bluetooth for headphones is interesting. Specially when itäs gonna be to connect a headset for VOIP usage.

A corean PMP manufacturer. Showing their latest 4.3″ 480×272 PMP with backlit blue buttons in the style of a Motorola Razr. The representative is also talking about the next generation Texas Instruments chip which playsback full HD 1080p DivX, support WiMax and Wifi. They say they will launch such a device with a 800×480 touch-screen, with a browser and other software in November. November is only 2 months away, so it is to be seen. But getting some information about the next generation Texas Instruments PMP chip is very interesting. Maxian is the only corean PMP manufacturer I know which also supports WMV DRM Playsforsure. Though I donät knopw if they also support subscription WMV, at least itäs not DVD resolution for now.
