Showing the quality of the design, of the screen in this HD video. Also showing how you can browse in HD using the HDMI output on your HDTV. Comparing the size of the Archos 5 screen with the Archos 605 WiFi, the Archos 5 screen is 25% bigger while the device is smaller, its quality is even higher and it’s clearer and brighter. See how you can use the Archos 5 screen as a mouse pad when outputting the Interface to the TV.

Here I am unboxing the Archos 5 which is a 250GB Linux based Internet Media Tablet based on the new Texas Instruments ARM Cortex processor that is just being released right now. It’s got a really nice high resolution 4.8″ touch-screen, HD video formats support. Check out this screen, it is pure awesome!!! It looks awesome in the metro, in the bus, in the train, pretty viewable outdoors in the sunlight. Everyone was looking at me at the train station and asking about what it was, it looks awesome and will amaze everyone up to about 100 meters around you. A bigger screen in a smaller device, that’s pretty awesome.
This video is just the initial unboxing. Check for more videos coming up on all the new faster features, showing the web browsing speed, the new awesome looking DVR Station with HDMI output and more in the next parts of this review.

HiVision makes the worlds cheapest Linux laptop at $98 using a new cheaper MIPS based processor (perhaps the Longsoon or the Ingenic), WiFi, 1GB flash storage, it runs Linux, has 3 USB ports, Ethernet, SDHC card reader, audio in and out, voice-chat, skype, multi-tabbed Firefox browser support and Abiword for word processing. Automatic and secure online software updates. Their current model is running a smooth and pretty snappy Linux user interface. In this video, I got to borrow a review sample of the laptop overnight, and I try to show you all the browser and other software interfaces in this extended video review of this cheap MIPS based laptop. Embedded is the way that I hope that most cheap laptops are going to be based on in the near future, Google will hopefully make a great Chrome browser for this kind of Laptop and hopefully that OLPC soon will announce that they will work to improve Embedded Linux based laptops in the upcoming XO-1.5 and XO-2 designs.

Detailing the latest plans for DivX, how they are going to provide us with more and better online video experiences.
Thanks to DivX Networks for sponsoring this IFA 2008 video coverage! I am using DivX HD for HD quality video streaming, not because DivX sponsored this IFA 2008 video coverage, but I’ve been using DivX for HD quality video streaming using the DivX Web Player since 2005 when I first started to post videos in 1280×720 3.5mbit/s HD quality on this video-blog. I just think that DivX works best if not being the only solution working for web-based high quality progressive downloading of videos.
